This is my entry to 
's "Is That Stream, Or Are You Just A Punk?!" contest! I Could Win Up To 100 Points, A Group Feature, And A Premium Membership!
I went with a simpler idea of steampunk - just the hints here and there - the compass/everything else pouch, the spyglass with the different settings, the goggles... (I was very torn about the goggles, but... given how little steampunk I've made obvious in this, I figured they'd be a good idea.)

I like how the feller holds on to the telescope with his three finger-ed hand, and the adventurous expression on his face 
Oh, and no worries, this already looked very steampunk even if there weren't any goggles.
