100 Themes: 007 Heaven

I sort of went with the idea of afterlife in general as opposed to afterlife for people who've done good, or the sort of best possible place.

This is Rille, after he's died. The Houdoun grants him, as a reward for the selflessness of his final request, the right to look over his people, and guide them into the afterlife. Yeah - Rille becomes Death.

It's not part of his story, tho', not really. His story ends when he dies. This is just what comes after that.

(All of my characters' stories end with their death. And their deaths are always important to the story. Rille dies casting a Houdoun to save his people; Lus dies in a poetic way in prison; Shane dies from complications during a surgery after he's all but killed in an explosion. Rille has the only heroic death, for all he's technically a 'bad guy', as a pirate.)
